Diya Patel, Immunology Research Intern
Diya started an organization called "ZenZone" meant to provide free meditation to all. Diya's been passionate about since she lately became a certified meditation instructor, and she's reached 30 people with her tools! Congrats, Diya!

Lorelia Gribincea, Researcher
Lorelia's articles were published at the Stanford High School Virtual Forum. The articles, first titled "The Anatomy of Novelty: a Possible Role of Immediate Early Genes and Experience Dependent Gene Regulation in Neurogenesis" and "Common Sense: How the Mirror Neurons System Contributes to Finding Meaning and Relevance in the Processing of Sensory Data Involved in Internal Model Construction and Selective Memory Storage"

Diya Mankotia, Co-Director of Outreach
Diya's club, Eating Disorder Support and Awareness, created over 150 mental health grams! These included small goodie bags filled with items to support a student's well-being such as a personally designed mental health packet, stress balls, qr code to mental health resources, and personalized cards!

We concluded our Innovation Conference for 2025 and are in our judging process. We received 9 amazing proposals, all to enter the running for a Stanford Intersect publication, .xyz sponsorship, and possible press release!

In April 2025, we will be hosting a research competition in partnership with URNCST, an undergraduate-focused, peer-reviewed journal based in Canada. Students will be able to work in teams with at least one undergraduate student in each team.

- Magnet Biomedicine Collaboration: Magnet Biomedicine has entered into a collaboration and license agreement with Eli Lilly and Company to discover, develop, and commercialize molecular glue therapeutics in oncology. This collaboration will leverage Magnetβs TrueGlueβ’ discovery platform to identify molecular glues capable of inducing protein proximity and cooperativity, enabling novel mechanisms of action to address difficult-to-drug targets spanning multiple diseases with unmet medical needs
- Biomedical Scientist Magazine: The February 2025 issue of the Biomedical Scientist Magazine covers various topics, including concerns about HMPV, case studies on schistocytes, and the programme for 2025. It also highlights research on gestational diabetes, drug-resistant malaria, and a tool to predict aggressive skin cancer outcomes
- Antibiotic Resistance: Scientists have identified a vulnerability in the bacterial machinery that drives antibiotic resistance adaptation. Their findings could pave the way to boosting the effectiveness of existing antibiotics

- Researcher: Create monthly research papers based on research topics and be featured on our socials and get published in our monthly research journals, gain access to various virtual labs to enhance your learning and research process, offered multiple revisions for your paper by our skilled research directors
- Outreach/Graphic Design: Create social media posts, reels, videos, etc. to help us promote our cause; make TikToks and instagram reels to expand our reach
- Grant Writer: Assist BioMedizone by helping create a financial backing for all our events and initiatives. Create grant applications and reach out to companies for sponsorships.
